Hideko Hadzialic (Japan) serves as UNDP Resident Representative for the State Of Kuwait , as of 28 March 2019.
The Country Office in Kuwait is her seventh assignment with UNDP. Hideko served in Sudan as Deputy Country Director, contributing to strengthening partnerships with UNAMID (UN-AU hybrid peacekeeping mission) within the context of UNAMID gradual withdrawal.
From 2014 to 2017, she was Management Advisor at the Office of Assistant Secretary-General, Bureau for Management Services, Headquarters in NY. Prior to this, Hideko was Deputy Resident Representative in Bhutan, covering both programme and operations (2011 – 2014).
From 2007, Hideko was the Manager for the Policy Network for Millennium Development Goals (UNDG), Bureau for Development Policy, UNDP Headquarters in New York. She also worked with UNDP Iraq as Programme Specialist (2006 – 2007) and with UNDP Bosnia and Herzegovina as Programme Officer (2002 – 2006).
Hideko obtained her Master's degree in Public Administration from Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University. She also completed executive leadership certificate training from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
